It is amazing to see the ancestral house of the Manilay Family in San Isidro, Purok Malakas, General Santos City. As you observe GenSan has no authentic ancestral houses as what we have seen in Luzon and Visayas.
The house is owned by Mr. Warren Manilay and Mrs. Sarah Jane Manilay. In the house you can see antique religious icons, furniture kitchen utensils, telephone, radio, cars and many more. The house is like a museum filled with different antique objects typically seen in a house.
I enjoyed touring the house (as part of our activity in Hotel/Resort and Club Management subject) because it reminds you of the past lives of the Filipinos. Although this is my second time to visit the Manilay ancestral house. I am still eager to visit it again and enjoy its oldness.
